“SONS OF THE FATHER AND SONS OF GOD”

Jesus once created a sculpture from the earth and that creation was a man called Adam and He was a son of God.  “And Jehovah God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.”Genesis 2:7   Adam was recorded in the New Testament lineage as being a son of God: “son of Enos, son of Seth, son of Adam, son of God.”  Luke 3:38 Although Adam was a son of God Seth was born a son of his father Adam.  Sin had cost us our relationship with God and his image.  “Our Father who art in Heaven” was a prayer that Jesus taught us to pray revealing our Father was really God. The devil who had become the god of this world had stolen our relationship and position as sons and daughters of God. God (except through blood sacrifice) was not approachable now as sin had separated us from a holy God and a perfect loving Father. Jesus would come and pay the price for us to be cleansed and to be reborn of God to restore this relationship: “

“However, he gave the right to become God's children to everyone who believed in him.

These people didn't become God's children in a physical way-from a human impulse or from a husband's desire to have a child. They were born from God.”
John 1:13

Not all of us have had perfect fathers or for that matter have been perfect fathers but we try to do our best. Imagine if we would have had a perfect Father to love us and teach us how special we are.  Just sit back and imagine the favours we could have asked for and the love we would have grown up in. Everything done and said in love whether it was correction or praise and all done in perfect love. Just think of the trust we would have had with a Father like that. The Good News is we can have a Father like that right now! Yes, a Father who will once again breathe in new life. Giving us a fresh start and removing and forgetting our past. A new life where we become new creations and ladies and gents (through the Spirit) are all “sons of god” in this New Eternal Miracle won by Jesus on the cross! In the spirit realm we are new creations one and all and all share in the full inheritance of God! Yes at last we can have one Father and can all be equally loved and valued!  Each life is precious and God’s breath can reveal to us how precious this New Life in Christ is:

“Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come.

All this is done by God, who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also.

Our message is that God was making all human beings his friends through Christ. God did not keep an account of their sins, and he has given us the message which tells how he makes them his friends.

Here we are, then, speaking for Christ, as though God himself were making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ's behalf: let God change you from enemies into his friends!

Christ was without sin, but for our sake God made him share our sin in order that in union with him we might share the righteousness of God.”

2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Ask him to breathe in you today that same life that He breathed into Adam and He will do it.

Prayer: Jesus, I repent, forgive me all my sins and breathe this new life into my heart!
