DEATH!

Death is one of the least discussed subjects. I believe it is because of the unknown and because of its devastating effect on all those who have seen and felt the pain of grief. When someone we love dies it seems that a little of us die with them and numbness invades us for a time. No amount of tears can wash that pain away and the more we loved them the more we seem to be devastated.

Jesus came to destroy death and all the pain that accompanies it. He actually took my sin and yours upon Himself to enter a place where a sinless man could not go. He went into the place where sin separates man from God and it was our sin that took Him there. He preached to those from Sodom and Gomorrah and those who had died in the flood. Those that had not heard would now hear the Gospel and have a chance to live forever! God never forgot one of us and always gives us a chance to avoid separation from Him. Just look at the price He paid to reach those that had not heard the Gospel message. Look and believe how much He really loves us and the depths He would go to because He loves us so much.

“That's what Christ did definitively: suffered because of others' sins, the Righteous One for the unrighteous ones. He went through it all--was put to death and then made alive--to bring us to God. "

"He went and proclaimed God's salvation to earlier generations who ended up in the prison of judgment because they wouldn't listen. "

"You know, even though God waited patiently all the days that Noah built his ship, only a few were saved then, eight to be exact--saved from the water by the water.”

The Lord God gets the blame for everything but He stands alone in His perfect love for every person. He conquered death and separation from God when Jesus offered Himself as a perfect sacrifice. This sacrifice accepted by God gives victory over sin and death through the innocent blood of Jesus.

"Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.”
John 5:24

Death is not the end but the beginning of a New Life. A life with God or one without God and we have to choose. To leave this earth without accepting the free Gift of God would mean that we have chosen to be eternally separated from Him. I look at all the bad things that take place now but tremble when I think of mankind separated from all that is good. Just one soul choosing to go to that everlasting place of darkness troubles me. The decision they made was not to believe on the One who was (Sent)! God does not send one soul to hell it has been their choice! Please avoid death and choose life and you will know the truth and the truth will set you Free! Invite Him in to your heart today!
